And so it was agreed that Toma would leave with his father as soon as possible.  Yamapi would follow them to Paris after a few weeks.  He needed time to arrange for his travel and university documents.  However, he did not arrive in Paris at the expected time.  When Toma called him, an unfamiliar voice answered his phone.

“Toma-kun…  It’s good to finally hear from you.”

Toma’s pulse pounded in his skull and he barely managed to say, “Who is this?”  But he knew even before he heard the answer.

“This is Johnny Kitagawa.  I hope you remember me…”

“I remember you,” Toma said weakly.  “You killed my mother.”

“You killed mine first,” came the cold response.  “And I will also kill your lover if you are not back in Tokyo in two days.”

Yamapi’s beautiful countenance was sufficiently beaten to a pulp when Toma next saw him.  Kitagawa had ten of his armed mercenaries with him.  He immediately made it clear that he had no intention of releasing Yamapi alive by shooting him in the chest.

Toma rushed at him in full speed when he saw that Kitagawa intends to fire a second shot to Yamapi’s head.  Everything happened so fast that Kitagawa and his men didn’t know what hit them.  MatsuJun, Shun, Kame and 15 others have finished off the mercenaries even before Toma collided with Kitagawa.  Kitagawa had become richer over the years, but unfortunately for him, he didn’t get any smarter.  He was not aware that although vampires are territorial creatures, they fight faithfully with their coven when one of their kind is in danger.  Because he and his men have modern guns, Kitagawa had totally underestimated the coven’s deadly skills, honed through centuries of fighting for their existence.

Kitagawa’s last memory was of the glint of Toma’s favorite weapon, the steel sword.  Toma swung it in one fluid motion and Kitagawa’s head fell to the ground with an ugly crunch, its eyes staring wide and empty, its mouth frozen in muted scream.

EPILOGUE

He walked carefully to the bed, his wet feet leaving prints on the floor.  He drank the sight of his sleeping lover’s pale naked body.  Toma was lying on his side so he had to climb the bed to see his face.  Toma frowned when droplets of water from Yamapi’s wet hair fell on his face.

“You’re dripping all over me,” Toma complained.

Yamapi laughed and kissed his neck, his hand sliding down from Toma’s stomach to that place between his legs.  Toma yelped when touched by Yamapi’s cold hand, but he uncurled and turned on his back.  Yamapi straddled him and bent forward to kiss him on the mouth.

“Hmm…  Salty,” Toma mumbled.

“Been surfing.”

“What time is it?”

“It’s 10:30am.  It’s about time you get up, Lazy.”

Toma opened his eyes and they stare at each other as Yamapi started moving his hips, enticing Toma into arousal.  He smiled mischievously when he felt the effect he desired.  Slowly but deliberately, Yamapi lowered himself over Toma’s erection, taking his breath away.  Yamapi bent forward to kiss him again and heard Toma sigh when their lips parted.

“Are you going to wake me up this way every day?” Toma smiled up at Yamapi.

“Hmmm…  I’m sure I can think of many ways to get you up in the morning,” he replied smugly.
